About

Carthorpe Parish Council currently consists of five elected Councillors and a Clerk. The Councillors serve for a term of four years or until the next full Parish Council Election. These Councillors are elected by the Parish or co-opted by the Parish Council. All Parish Councillors live in Carthorpe and their work is voluntary & unpaid.

Parish Council meetings are usually held on a Monday evenings every 6 weeks or so. There is also an Annual Public Parish Meeting in May. The meetings are held at Carthorpe Methodist Chapel Community Hall at 7.30 p.m. Members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend. The agenda for each meeting is displayed on this website & the notice board on the village green, as are the minutes of the previous meetings.

Relevant local information is also displayed on the notice board. Anyone interested in displaying notices or informing the Parish Council of upcoming local events please contact the Parish Clerk or any of the Councillors.
